February 27, 2016

The Smyrna Yacht Club (SYC) in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, is hosting their 3rd Annual Governor’s Cup Regatta on the Indian River/Intracoastal Waterway, 27 February 2016.

The event kicks off Friday with registration and CCWBRA safety inspections from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.  Afterward, we’ll gather for a Welcome Reception in the SYC Clubhouse Ballroom.

Registration and CCWBRA safety inspections will commence at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday.  The Registration Desk will close promptly at 9:00 a.m. to allow time to prepare the racing heats.  The mandatory Skippers’ Meeting will start at 10:00 a.m. and racing will begin at 11:00 AM.  Following the races, the Awards Ceremony will be held at SYC’s Tiki Bar.

Please note, only the Early Classic 6-hp (pre-1976), Post-1979 6-hp and 8-hp engine classes will be raced at this event.

Food and beverages can be purchased with credit cards (no cash/checks at the Tiki Bar), for those who do not bring their own provisions.
