Rookies Dominate 2011 Oktoberfest in 6 and 8 HP Classes

Julie Allerton of Bethlehem, PA entered her first CCWBRA race in the Oktoberfest 2011 regatta and came away with the first place trophy beating out multiple seasoned competitors.  Taking second place was Gretchen Granbery, with defending Okoberfest champion Kim Granbery placing third.

Steve Price of Bear, DE also in his first CCWBRA regatta, posted a second, third, and fourth place finish in the 3-race heat to capture the first place trophy for the 8 HP class.  Finishing second was Kim Granbery of Guilford, CT, followed closely by Fred Bluefeld of King of Prussia, PA.
