Charlie Iliff: Robert and Lee Edmonds advised me that there have been some failures of original throttle levers – inside the cover on the right side – in 1991 and later 6 & 8 hp motors. Since it’s a safety item, I’m bypassing committee discussion and posting here.
OMC offers a new part that is stronger. It has webbing between the ridges. If yours isn’t the new type, part number 0336028 is the stronger lever. It is less than $10 on the web. Racers are encouraged to upgrade if not already done. It’s the one on the right in the picture.
