Scot, I made a few videos of my build, I copied links below.  Hopefully this is helpful.  Reinforcement on the side tanks is a good idea, I reinforced my control box, and it works well.  for the paddle, you can put the screws into the supports since the copper is easy to see.  For the gas tank, there is not much room for it to move, so I just set it in there.  I might put a deck pad under it, but that is all, no tie downs needed really does not move much.

I am in the process of moving, so it will be a few days, but I will try to get you the info this weekend.  The cart works great.

I made it up in my head.  I can get you the measurements, and some good pictures.  It is just 2×4’s, and a cheap piece of carpet from lowes.  Casters were the highest cost for it.  I made it so it would fit around the cockpit, and has a slot for the keel.  so it can sit on the cart upside down, or normal.

I had low spots also, and the primer seemed to do a really good job.  I put two coats of primer on.

When I sanded the first coat, it showed most of the low spots, and it filled them in more than I expected.  I hand sanded the low spots as best I could to get them rough for adhesion.

I used interlux, that is some good stuff.

Painting and Varnish done….aaahhhh.   Anyone know a good way to polish/buff this interlux varnish?

Ripped the tape off, and the paint looks pretty good.

My son is a big help with this project.

    The Metal flake looks cool.

    And the big reveal…

A couple clear coats of varnish will really make it PoP!

Put together a slide show of the build and progress so far.  Just started painting, will keep posting pictures, especially details of rigging, and remote setup, as this information is hard to find.
