Women dominated the WoodenBoat Show again this year with Ann Dunbar taking first place for WoodenBoat, away from Ben Coutu of Mystic Seaport – a close second. Ann was racing in one of the new CLC kit boats with Ben in a traditionally built Skua by Mystic Seaport volunteers. It was exciting to see the starts and strategy in driver skill from a seasoned sailor to a first-time driver. I think we got Ben hooked! Next year, look for an 8 HP class with CCWBRA challanging Mystic and WoodenBoat Show staff!!
