    Is the spacing of the 8 HP OMC the same as the 6 HP?

    Thanks RIck. Last week I purchased an ’87 Evinrude 6, Model # E6RCUD. I have nothing yet in the way of throttle/gearshift or steering adapter. My boat was only raced twice before it went into a garage in 2012. It has a wheel and pulleys but no throttle/gearshift lever or control cables.
