Commodore’s Cup 2019

Commodore’s Cup 2019

CCWBRA had 26 racers competing in 15 different boats in the various engine classes for CCWBRA’s 1st Annual Commodore’s Cup event hosted by Maryland Yacht Club in Pasadena, MD.

There were 7 new racers, including 3 youth, from Maryland Yacht Club racing #48 Captain America and Team SNAFU added a new racer to their team. It was a huge success!

There is a large gallery included below, please check out all the wonderful pictures captured by Eric Moseson, but here are a few just to capture the incredible and interesting day of Cocktail Class racing!

Capt. Lou Linden in #66 Ms. Smirnoff proving that size doesn’t matter in boat racing, while 50 go-fast boats parade by the race course looking down with envy!

Kaylie Jasinski in #1066 Battle of Hastings becomes a new member of the Turtle Club in the race 3 of the Post 79 Women’s Finals
Kaylie sustained no injuries and thanks to Safety Boat volunteers CCWBRA member, Capt. Lee Urbani and MYC members, Dave & Sean, for all your help in getting her and #1066 safely back to the pit and special thanks to Dave for donating the use of his zodiac!
Vice Commodore Capt. Peter Urbani in #350 Shrimp doing what may be another first in Cocktail Class Racing history in the first race of the 8 HP Mixed Finals. It looks like he is going over or under…well, it isn’t looking good…
…but he manages to right the boat and finish the race with a boat full of water.
