McWain wins CCWBRA 2011 National Championship in 6 HP class. Steffes takes title in 8 HP class.

Aaron McWain of Annapolis, MD and driver of the new CLC kit built Skua roared to a first place finish in the 6 HP class National Championship at Rock Hall, MD.  Entering his first CCWBRA race, Aaron proved himself to be a skillful driver and worthy competitor taking a first and two seconds in the 3-race final heat.  Kim Granbery of Guilford, CT and Russ Bowler of Annapolis, MD battled for second and third with Granbery seeking out a second place finish and Russ close behind at third.

Todd Steffes of King of Prussia, PA and long-time CCWBRA racer, held off newcomer Robert Edmonds of Buck Head, GA to capture first place in the 8 HP class.  Taking an impressive third was local favorite Pete Urbani of Rock Hall, MD.  This was Pete’s first official CCWBRA regatta.
